Compassionate Trauma Treament
CPT (Cognitive Processing Therapy) is an evidence-based treatment for Post-Traumatic Streas Disorder (PTSD) that helps people process and recover from traumatic experiences by identifying and changing unhelpful beliefs related to the trauma. Early sessions focus on psychoeducation about PTSD, understanding how thoughts impact emotions and behaviors, and beginning to identify “stuck points” (unhelpful beliefs about safety, trust, control, self-esteem, or blame). Clients learn to track thoughts and develop more balanced, realistic ways of thinking.
Treatment typically lasts between 12-18 sessions.
